Bike Rack Request Form

The City of Memphis’s Bikeway and Pedestrian Program is accepting citizen requests for bike rack placements throughout Memphis. Through this initiative, City staff will install bike racks (without cost to the requester) on the closest public right of way to a business, school, non-profit organization, etc. By increasing the amount of bike racks, the City’s Bikeway and Pedestrian Program hopes to make it easier for Memphians to use a bike for all of their daily tasks around the city.

You can complete the form here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/membikeracks

Note:
Requests will be taken up on a first come, first serve basis. Bike racks must meet certain spatial requirements. If your first choice does not meet these spatial requirements, we will work with you to find a suitable location. Additionally, we have a limited number of racks and your request may go unfulfilled if no racks are available. If your location is approved, the bike rack will be installed within two to three months.

The City of Memphis uses guidelines developed by the Association of Bicycle and Pedestrian Professionals to determine placement of bike rack locations. You can read those guidelines here: Bike Parking Guidelines
