This page provides information on capital projects the Bikeway and Pedestrian Program is currently managing on or has recently completed. Individual project pages offer status updates with an overview of the project scope. Please note that the Program routinely undertakes additional infrastructure improvements than those listed below through regular maintenance and operations (i.e. new crosswalks, conventional bike lanes, warning signage, etc.).
The Program executes a variety of infrastructure improvements that improve the conditions of walking and bicycling. In the past ten years we have added over 250 miles of new bikeways, from greenways to protected bike lanes. Pedestrian projects range from new sidewalks, enhanced crosswalks, pedestrian refuge islands, crossing beacons, and other intersection improvements.
