Public Meeting Announced for Chelsea Avenue Greenline

chelsea-evergreen-031810The City of Memphis will host a public meeting on Monday, October 26, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Dave Wells Community Center, at 915 Chelsea Avenue, Memphis, TN 38107.

The City of Memphis is proposing to develop the 2.5 mile Chelsea Avenue Greenline, primarily along the former UP Railroad bed, from the intersection of Chelsea Avenue and North Evergreen Street west to Washington Park.

The meeting will begin with a formal presentation followed by a question and answer period. The public is invited to attend and express their opinion concerning this project as part of the public record. Representatives from the City of Memphis will be present to provide information relative to the general location, project history, existing conditions along the trail, conceptual design features, trail security and maintenance, the tentative project timeline, and any other matters of public interest.  The project is currently in the environmental approval phase.  This meeting is to be held pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

Written comments in place of or in addition to oral statements made at the public meeting may be submitted within twenty-one (21) days following the date of the meeting to the address below:
