On Wednesday, March 26, 2014, the Memphis Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will host a project kick-off meeting regarding the update of its Regional Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan. This plan, which serves as a component of the Regional Transportation Plan, contains policies, goals, and objectives for the coordinated development of pedestrian and cycling infrastructure in the Memphis MPO study area.
In conjunction with this update, the Memphis MPO is conducting a region-wide survey of cyclists and pedestrians about how they travel, their knowledge of traffic laws, and their priorities for funding alternative transportation projects. The survey is available at www.midsouthbikeped.org.
This meeting is being held to provide information on the plan update and regional survey, as well as to solicit input from the public on goals, objectives, and expected outcomes for the updated Regional Bicycle & Pedestrian Plan. Details about time and location can be found on the flyer below.
